Since opening its borders, Myanmar has experienced a steady increase in overseas travelers. Emerging from past social challenges, Myanmar is now recognized as one of the final frontier “must see” travel destinations in South East Asia.

Ever mindful of the need to explore new waterways and unknown destinations, in 2016 IRRAWADDY VOYAGES Co. Ltd was launched. Comprising a fleet of four modern ‘state of the art’ accommodated vessels, the RV Samatha and RV Princess Panhwar are exclusively chartered and the RV Irrawaddy Voyager 1 and RV Irrawaddy Voyager 11 are now providing overnight cruise experiences between Mandalay, Bagan, Pyay (Prome) and Yangon.

In August 2017, we undertook the first of a series of research trips to the Chindwin River, in North West Myanmar. We plan to design, build and operate two brand new vessels to extend our reach and offer unique “Once in a Lifetime” river cruise and onshore travel experiences of this uncharted region.
