Mandalay Hill is 240 meters in height and located to the northeast of the city centre. The city took its name from this iconic hill which is known for its abundance of pagodas and monasteries. A major pilgrimage site for Burmese Buddhists for nearly two centuries this is a recommended site with spectacular panoramic views.
